THE POET, THE SCHOLAR39 year old Edwin Moses is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, motivational speaker, community activist, poet, singer-songwriter, Real Estate investor/licensed general contractor, father and loving husband. Edwin is a member of Bruce George’s (Co-founder of HBO Def Poetry Jam) Ebony Energy Talent Network. & Ebony Energy Talent Network which includes a Speakers Bureau/Talent Network including Dr. Sonia Sanchez, Nikki Giovanni, The Last Poets, Umi Smith, Tray Chaney (HBO’s the Wire), Georgia Me(HBO’s Def Poetry))etc. Moses brings his positive message to the world through spoken word. “I was going through some very tough trials. My brother Brandon had just been killed by the Police in North Port Fla. in June of 2000. I made some immature mistakes and got incarcerated for a while. The only way for me to fight back was with words. So I picked up a notebook and the Ghetto Wisdom story began.”
